As the India is considered as a hot climate area , so it is obvious that more of them will feel thirsty while they are in ride and will be hesitate to spend in soft drinks, well more of them are attracted towards fruit juice as it is harmless and also provide excellent energy to the body. Hope such industry has a great future.

This is a great article, was wondering if you could share the sources for the statistics that you have provided in the article. For example :
"For one, the fruit drink market (juice accounts for 30 per cent, nectar is 10 per cent and fruit drinks are 60 per cent of the market today) has grown at a 20 per cent to 25 per cent rate."

It has been a while since this article was published, hence would appreciate your reply.

Your article on fruit juices is good. It will be complet if you can provide the fruite juices industry and market in India, major players, imported fruit juices and their origins, customs duty and other policy measures.

Indian market size for the imported juices is growing at 10 % per annum for the last 4 years. High customs duty, i believe together with stringent and multiple agenicies for clearances etc are the major deterrants for improrts.

What are the major distribution channles for fruit juices in India.

Should appreciate for your input.
I think more American fruit juice companies should adopt some of India's exotic brands of fruit juice so the general public can have a chance to experience something different.

Here is one fine example of an exotic fruit from Brazil that has been converted into a very healthy fruit juice: http://www.acai.vg

In response to:Fruit Juice industry in India

Hi,

My name is Manish Dargar and i am from Surat-Gujarat-India. I have a proposal for a new Beverage. Its something like frootie which has made a big market in india. As you know frootie is a mango flavored drink. Our home made beverage includes of raw mango juice with little sugar, black salt and dry coriander (Pudhina). This beverage is very good for health and its a very good thirst quencher. I would really appreciate if you give us a chance to show our product to you. I am 100% sure that it would be cheaper than mango frootie and the consumers would get a new taste in the market. Looking forward to hear from you.

Thank you,
